Message From The Chair

Welcome to the 2008 Parade of Homes!
I’m thrilled to present to you the 2008 Parade of Homes, an unparalleled opportunity to experience some of the finest new homes in Central Pennsylvania. This year, the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County and Lebanon County Builders Association are offering 54 homes located throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties for you to visit, where you’re sure to be inspired by the unique craftsmanship and style evident in each one.

We’re proud of the caliber displayed in our local builders’ work, and we know you’ll be impressed too. So come on out and visit a home or two – or ten! – And see the latest and best in new home design.

Get ideas for your next home project, or perhaps even find your next home, at the largest event of its kind in Pennsylvania.
See you at the Parade!

How To Use This Website
We have designed this website and its accompanying maps to make it easy to locate the homes of greatest interest to you. There are separate sections for single homes and townhomes, as well as color-coding to distinguish the homes in various price ranges.

The information provided about each home includes an exterior rendering, floor plans, an amenities list, and easy-to-follow directions. In addition, each Parade home has been assigned a two-digit code (such as 35) which corresponds to its placement on the map. Simply select a section of map to zoom in and then select the color-coded home you wish to see.

For 2008, we’ve added special icons indicating homes that feature new design and building trends.
These icons designate...

Green Building /
Energy Efficiency
First Floor
Living
Net Nook Organization /
Storage Solutions

Look for these icons on the individual home templates.

Tour The Homes
The 2008 Parade of Homes features 54 new homes which are open to visitors from Saturday, June 14, through Sunday, June 22. Tour hours are 12 noon-6:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and 5:00-8:00 pm on weekdays. Since Parade traffic is higher on weekends, you may wish to visit some of the homes during the week.

Socks or stockings are required, as visitors may be asked to remove their shoes in some of the homes; additionally, some builders may require the use of shoe coverings, which are provided. All children must be closely supervised by an adult.

All Parade homes are judged in six categories and the awards are on display in each winning home.

The price for each home in the Parade of Homes has been calculated based on the current prices for the component building materials. However, the market for the building materials is considered to be volatile, and sudden price increases could occur. The Builder agrees to use his best efforts to obtain the lowest possible prices from available building material suppliers, but should there be an increase in the prices of materials that are purchased to duplicate this residential construction project, the listed price would be affected.
